Spotlight on Tea

Ted Lights

Domestic Construction a multi-disciplinary design studio specializing in interiors created ‘The Ted light’ made from vintage ceramic or porcelain teacups, acquired from flea markets and thrift stores all over the country. They ‘dangle delicately on the end of an 11 foot chord with an attached plug…ready to illuminate any space’.

Domestic construction also offers their Ted Lights in cluster and chandelier form. Ranging from 3-13 exquisite teacups, these bundles of beauty are hardwired and fully prepped for immediate installation in the ceiling.

It’s addictive!

Penguin Teaboy time looks cute and brews a perfect cup of tea

February 18, 2009

It’s time to finally fire that no-good assistant of yours. The Penguin Teaboy is the only one you’ll ever need because he will never ruin a cup of tea. This cute penguin includes a timer on the side that can be set from one to 20 minutes. Hook a teabag over the beak of the penguin and set the timer. It’ll dunk the bag into the cup of water and raise it out when the timer is complete.

The Terrorist Tea Pot

February 18, 2009

image

I’m not sure if this is funny or offensive?

According to comedian Billy Connolly, if a man is left alone in a room with a tea cosy, and he does not attempt to wear it, he should not be trusted. I think if I came back into a room and someone had put this on I’d piss myself laughing.

This Tea pot combo should make a great pressie for your granny and you can buy it from Suck UK.

Design Boom recently held a competition to ‘find design solutions for functional and prestigious silverware with a new twist.’

Pablo Matteoda from Argentina entered with his fab tea infuser named Sharky.

Us girls at tea-stain can’t wait to get hold of one!
